What a physician-order fee is

Current as of Oct 19, 2026. No medical reviewer.

A fee for a clinician order, charged once per order on this site when the price sheet says so. No amounts on this page.

The fee

A physician-order fee, sometimes called an order fee, is an amount a seller adds so a clinician can authorize the test. It is not a second copy of the test price. It is not a draw fee.

On this site the fee is added once per order, and only when a verified sheet row states it. The same fee is not added again for a second test in that order, and it is not copied onto a test whose row did not show it.

When the sheet is silent

When a person checked the seller's page and saw no extra fee, all-in equals the price in the sentence, and the page says no extra fee was seen. If the row does not state a fee, this site does not invent one. All-in for that row stays Price check pending when a fee might still apply and was not classified. The rule is in the methodology and in what an all-in price includes.

Where to see a stated fee

This page does not print dollar amounts. A stated fee appears in the sentence on the cash price page for that test.
