What an all-in price includes
The all-in formula this site uses when a verified sheet row states each piece. No dollar amounts on this page.
The formula
For a verified row, all-in equals the test price, plus a draw fee if the draw is not already included, plus a physician or order fee, plus a prorated membership only when the seller publishes how many tests that membership covers in a year.
If verified is false, or the sheet has no row, the page says Price check pending. A fee that is not classified is named when the sheet names it, and it is not added into all-in, so all-in stays Price check pending. When a person checked the seller's page and saw no extra fee, all-in equals the price in the sentence. Version 1 of this site does not prorate a membership onto a single test.
What is not included
A membership fee is not the price of one test unless the seller published the divisor used for proration. A panel price is not split into marker prices. Insurance, a copay, and a facility bill that the sheet does not state are not added.
This page does not print the amounts on the current sheet. Those sentences live on the cash pages and in the methodology.
How to use it
When you compare two offers, check each piece: test price, draw fee, order fee, membership, and the date. A missing piece means the all-in figure is incomplete. See how to compare lab test prices.
